Your Author Profile Page

Summary: Your Author Profile page will help you get started as an Author, and allows you to manage your items and your personal information such as your tax and payout details.

Welcome to Envato! We’re so happy you’re here. If you have just signed up, you will need to complete four onboarding tasks in your Author Profile to get started: 

1. Your Tax information: ensure you are charged the right amount of tax on your Envato earnings. Read more in our help section on Tax Forms if you need more information. 
2. Your payout method: let us know where to send your earnings! For more details on the payout options available to you, head to our article Getting started with the Market payout system.
3. Trader Declaration: we need to know if you are operating as a Trader on our platform. Learn more about this here: Trader Status under the EU Digital Services Act 
4. Your ID check: for the safety of our marketplace, we need to verify your identity. This step will become available after you have completed the above three steps. Learn more about ID checks here: Author ID Checks 

These four steps will need to be completed before you can start uploading your items and earning money with Envato. Once completed, your Author Profile will be a central hub for you to manage your information, go to upload pages, and view your accumulating earnings. 

Manage your profile

This section provides you with links to enter, or update, your tax information, payout method, and trader declaration. Once you have completed those, your ID check will become available (if you have not already completed one). 

Balances

Here you can see your current earnings balances for both Envato Market and Envato Elements (if you are an Elements contributor). The balances shown are the amounts we will attempt to pay you each month and will increase with the previous month’s earnings around the 8th of the month. Please note, in order to upload and publish content to Envato Elements, you must first submit an application for review. If approved, you will then be able to start uploading content to Envato Elements for the content type you were approved for. Please submit your application here. You can upload to Envato Market sites without submitting an application.

Navigation toolbar

The toolbar at the top of the screen provides links to access information about your earnings, payouts, statements, upload and portfolio management options, and community spaces such as the Forums, Author Hub, and Author Help Center.
