Summary: This article outlines in general terms the steps to take to get a Graphics item prepared for uploading.
Please note: Certain types of Graphics have specific requirements to sell the item on Envato. Please refer to the Technical Requirements under this theme category for more specific information related to your item type.

1. Save your Main File(s)
- Files must not exceed 3 GB.
- Organize your design into easy to edit, clearly labeled layers and groups.
- Graphic items that are layered should be labelled in English, in an organized manner (using logical groups and layers).
- Organize and label common elements so that customers are able to easily edit your file.
- The more editable your file is, the more valuable it is to customers.
- Graphics files can be RGB or CMYK format.
- CMYK is preferable when a file is intended for print.
- PSD, JPEG and PNG are acceptable formats.
- Items in this category can include Vector Smart Objects, but should not be completely made of files exported from Illustrator.
- Ensure that fonts used in the item are correctly licensed, and are documented in the item description and inside a help file within the main .zip.
- Preview images, thumbnails, and graphics that are not part of the item should not be included in the download folder.
- Files using CS5 and upwards (i.e those making use of new or upgraded features in Photoshop) should be clearly marked in the preview image and description.
Sub-category specific technical requirements;
Backgrounds
- Minimum of 1200 pixels at 72 DPI.
- Print version 300 DPI.
- Can not be unmodified photos.
Product Mock-Ups
Product mock-ups are items created to help designers demo designs and products.
- Submissions should not include items that are meant to be used in any capacity other than a demonstration.
- Files should be easily editable.
- The file should make use of layer masks, smart objects, smart filters and non-destructive techniques.
- Smart objects are optional. The main focus should be non-destructive techniques, making a file as editable and customizable as possible.
- Masks must be executed technically and aesthetically to a high standard. They should be tested to ensure they work for the customer.
- Any layer masks or photo manipulation should be of good quality. The masking should be clean and sharp, where style appropriate.
- Viewing angles and perspectives must look realistic and visually correct.
Illustrations
- Illustrations can be created in any medium, as long as the Zip you chose to upload includes a good quality, high resolution JPG or PNG file.
- We discourage the use of text in illustrations. If you must include text, do so with an included PSD or EPS file with the lettering on a separate layer to the picture.
Photo Templates (GraphicRiver only)
- Template files must be in PSD file format.
- Template files must be made up of Smart Objects, Filters and Layers.
Actions should not be included in these items as these are better suited to the Add-ons - Photoshop category.
Decorative (GraphicRiver only)
- The individual elements need to be cut and isolated well for reuse.
- Edges should be clean and have no artifacting.
3D Renders (GraphicRiver only)
- Files should be 3D renders from Maya, 3DS Max, or Cinema 4D.
- A PSD file is a mandatory. JPEG files are optional.
2. Check your Assets
Licenses:
- Make sure you have the correct licenses for any assets you have included in your item. This includes assets that are in your Item Preview only; you will still need a commercial license for preview assets.
- If you have third-party assets that are linked to the main file, be certain you've included them in your .zip file. For these assets you will need to ensure you have a commercial redistribution license (the rights to re-sell that asset).

Malicious Content
- Check that your item does not contain any malware or viruses.
- We take security very seriously, and may need to take action such as removing items or accounts and contacting affected customers if viruses or malicious software is found in your item.
3. Create a Help File
Some categories require you to include documentation to introduce the customer to your item and its components. This can be a text file or a PDF. The documentation must include:
- The names of the fonts used in the item
- Non-standard fonts (fonts that don’t come with an OS like Windows or OS X) should include links where they may be purchased and/or downloaded.
- A clear explanation of any special techniques used for editing the file, such as the use of Smart Objects, Layer Styles or linked images.
4. Final Steps
Check that your preview image, title, description and tags follow our formatting standards. Put your finished design and all supporting information into a single zipped folder.
