Claim Clear is a feature that helps customers automatically clear YouTube Content ID claims on music licensed from Envato - saving them time and making your tracks easier to use. Currently, Claim Clear can be used for music registered with HAAWK (via Identifyy).
What is Claim Clear?
When customers upload videos to YouTube using Content ID-registered music, they often receive copyright claims - even with a valid license. Claim Clear automates the clearance process for music registered with HAAWK, reducing frustration and helping your music get used - and downloaded - more often.
If you decide to register your music with a Claim Clear compatible provider (i.e. HAAWK, via Identifyy), your music will be:
- More discoverable with on-site Claim Clear-ready badges;
- Easier to license through a cleared tracks search filter;
- More attractive to customers, thanks to instant clearance and no publishing delays.
How to participate in Claim Clear
To join the Claim Clear-ready catalog:
- Register your music with HAAWK via Identifyy.
- Make sure your Content ID information is accurate on Envato.
Step-by-step: Register with Identifyy (HAAWK)

Sign up at Identifyy.com
Use your Envato login (SSO) if available to fast-track your application.

Complete your application
- Upload and submit your music tracks

Complete the Identifyy questionnaire
Note: Identifyy cannot approve your application without the questionnaire.

Upload your tracks
- Upload all Envato-published tracks
- Optional: include alt versions (must also be listed on Envato)
- Track length must be between 30 seconds and 10 minutes

Let Identifyy process your tracks
Identifyy will register your tracks with YouTube's Content ID system.
Important: If you're switching providers, be sure to de-register your music with the previous Content ID provider to avoid claim conflicts.

Update your Content ID information on Envato
For each music item:
- Set YouTube Content ID Registered to Yes
- Set YouTube Content ID Administered By to HAAWK (or your current provider)
Keep this information accurate and up-to-date to ensure customers benefit from automatic claim clearance.
