“Out-of-the-box” Loops
A problem sometimes occurs when we hear audio that is largely or entirely based on pre-existing audio loops or samples direct from audio software or sample CDs.
AudioJungle prides itself on quality, unique and original audio compositions from authors. We consider it vital to assist authors along the way with clarification on what is acceptable in the library. This maintains the standard of our entire library ensuring customers receive reliable stock audio at an affordable price.
Can I take a pre-existing audio loop straight out of my software and upload it directly to AudioJungle without any modification?
It should go without saying, but you cannot take an audio loop or drum loop that you have not created yourself from a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation), a sample CD or any audio software and upload it “as-is” to AudioJungle. This would be classified as a copyright infringement.
Can I use pre-existing audio loops I did not create myself from the audio application I use, and then use them in a new track I produce?
Submissions based entirely on royalty-free sample loops with little in the way of added production, engineering, or original composition applied are not allowed on AudioJungle. For the integrity of audio on AudioJungle, we do not allow basic compositions made entirely from royalty-free sample loops. Our site only accepts original compositions that are not heavily based on out-of-the-box sample loops.
Can I upload music created with Garageband or Music Maker?
You can only upload music created with Garageband or Music Market etc if it is an original composition not based on pre-existing loops. You cannot create a track using Garageband or Music Maker that is based entirely on audio loops with little in the way of added production, engineering or original composition applied.
Can I use pre-existing drum loops in my audio submission?
Yes. If you use a pre-existing drum loop as part of a composition that you have composed, arranged, and/or produced yourself, this is acceptable. This includes drum loops found in DAWs, audio software and sample CDs that give you license to use drum loops in stock audio that can be redistributed. We also recommend that you cut-up, remix, or apply creativity to out-of-the-box drum loops in order to make them sound more unique.
What happens if I upload files based entirely on pre-existing loops?
If we discover your file is based entirely on pre-existing loops it will be removed from the library. Authors who predominantly use pre-existing loops throughout their submissions will receive a warning and/or get banned from uploading content to AudioJungle. If in doubt about something, consult this guide before uploading your new item. If you still have questions, you can contact the Envato Support Team.
Why is this the rule?
The Audiojungle Library strives to contain unique and high-quality content that involves musical skill to produce and that customers could not easily recreate themselves using the out-of-the-box software. It is our belief that it creates more problems than benefits in selling audio that is largely or entirely based on pre-existing samples and loops that have been heard and used over and over in multiple similar tracks.
