As a global company, Envato complies with all laws and regulations applicable to its activities, including economic sanctions regulations that prohibit or restrict trade with certain countries, entities, and individuals.
It is Envato’s policy to restrict access to all of Envato’s platforms for authors and customers that are located in restricted countries. This includes blocking any author or customer that Envato reasonably believes to be residing in a sanctioned country, by disabling the account.
Which countries are currently on the restricted countries list?
- Iran
- Cuba
- Syria
- Crimea Region
- North Korea
- Donetsk People’s Republic
- Luhansk People’s Republic
Additionally, current US sanctions against Venezuela also prohibit us from allowing authors and customers who are citizens of Venezuela and who currently work for the Venezualen Government to transact on our platforms. If you are a Venezuelan citizen who currently works for the Venezualen Government then you must not transact on our platforms until these sanctions are lifted.
Please note: Due to payment restrictions, we are not accepting new author signups from Russia, Belarus, Afghanistan, Sudan, or Libya.
This list is not exhaustive and Envato reserves the right to restrict access to all Envato platforms from other countries and regions at any time.
What happens to funds that are held by Envato?
It is Envato’s policy to suspend access to and prohibit the removal of funds from author accounts that Envato determines are related to individuals located in or associated with restricted countries. Funds held in suspended accounts will be held by Envato until the user is permitted to receive them. If you believe your account has been suspended in error, please contact us immediately.
