Envato Market is home to thousands of talented designers, developers and creators, who sell a wide range of digital goods.
Becoming an author on Envato Market carries certain legal implications. Everything you sell must be your own original content. If you use any assets that are owned by someone else, you must have a license that grants you permission to use and resell them.
Read the Author Guide to help get you started and understand what it means to be an author.
How do I sell my items?
First, sign up or log in to your Envato Market account and visit the become an author page.
Refer to the content requirements and upload your item(s) to build your portfolio.
Prices on AudioJungle are set by the Quality Team and are based on the complexity of the item and market value according to the pricing guidelines.
Prices on GraphicRiver, ThemeForest, CodeCanyon, 3DOcean and PhotoDune are determined at the sole discretion of the author of the item.
For more information on author pricing for selected categories, refer to Selecting a price on an Author-Driven Pricing category.
The Quality Team may not be able to approve your items if they do not follow our content requirements and upload guidelines or, are otherwise unsuitable for sale and will be Soft or Hard Rejected.
Note: All items on Envato Market are subject to an annual review. If your item does not pass review you will receive an email and it will become inactive after 30 days.
When you sell one of your items, you will earn a percentage of that sale. How much you earn will depend on whether you are an exclusive or non-exclusive author and your total volume of sales.
How do I receive payment?
Earnings are deposited into your Envato Market Account. Funds can be used to purchase items from Envato Market or once your earnings reach $50.00, you can request a withdrawal.
Payments are made on the 15th of each month. To be eligible for a payment on the 15th you must request a withdrawal before the last day of the previous month.
Legal requirements
As an author, you must be aware of the following legal requirements:
- When selling an item you are making an agreement with the customer that you own a full copyright and that you have appropriately licensed any auxiliary content if applicable.
- Any unlawful selling has serious consequences and Envato takes copyright violation very seriously.
- If any work is found to violate copyright the author’s account will be locked and funds will be frozen.
- Please carefully read the policies surrounding copyright:
- What is copyright and how can it be infringed?
- Protecting your copyright as an author.
Note: Envato Market is based on a royalty-free stock model. This means that when you sell an item on any of the marketplaces, you're granting the customer a license to use that file in certain ways. You (the author) retain ownership of the item and can sell as many licenses as you wish.
