As an author, it’s important to understand how earnings work, how you can qualify for our Content Bonus Program and what you can expect to see from your earnings over the next few months on Elements.
With our subscriber share model, we pay authors 50% of the net subscription revenue from subscribers who have downloaded their items during each earnings cycle, split amongst eligible authors. This approach to revenue share means that:
- The greater the number of subscribers who use your items, the more you earn.
- The greater the proportion of an individual subscriber's usage that relates to your items, the more you earn. In fact, if they only use your items, then you get all of their revenue share amount.
- The more item points your item is worth, the more you earn for a download from a single subscriber.
- We always share 50% of the net revenue, regardless of a subscriber's usage.
As part of the subscriber share model, every Elements author is also automatically considered for the Content Bonus Program. Authors who meet the minimum activity requirements will receive an additional bonus payout proportional to their subscriber share earnings.
Authors must meet the minimum activity requirements for at least one item type to be eligible. Please see the publishing requirements below:
To qualify for the Content Bonus as a Template Kits author, you will need to publish at least 1 new item (minimum) every 180 days. |
This is one of several ways in which authors can be rewarded for contributing great content to Envato Elements, so get involved and earn more!
So, make sure to keep up to date with your earnings and the Content Bonus Program by viewing your earnings report found in your Elements Contributor Dashboard.
