As an exclusive author you will now have access to Google Analytics. While we can’t give you a full tutorial on Google Analytics, we will give you some details below on how to set it up for your Envato account and also point you to some great beginner articles.
Setting Up Your Account
So how does this work? If you haven’t already, you will need to set up a Google Analytics account.
Once you’ve set up this account, you then set up a new property within Google Analytics. A property is basically another way of saying a site that you want to run Google Analytics on. So in this case it will be for your Envato account.
For a step-by-step guide on how to set up a new property please read this.
You will see in this guide that a URL is needed, you can use the URL of your author profile on Envato.
For example:
https://'marketplace'/user/'username'
Or when filled out:
https://videohive.net/user/stev_plm
At the end of the process you will get a tracking ID/code.
Once you have your tracking ID/code you will need to go to your Account Settings page.
Under Author Tools there will be a Google Analytics section (see below). Once you click into that section you will see a space to enter your tracking ID/code (see below).
